I'm excited to link up again this month with Kristin from Taz and Belly for her Little Letters series and bring you a few little letters...
Dear People on the Radio who Overshare,
Surely you must know that the person you are talking about might be listening, right? I mean when you say "Hi Valentine. My name is Allison and I need some advice. I have a 16 year old son and my boyfriend has a 17 year old daughter that he lets drink wine sometimes at dinner and my son wants to know why he can't drink like she does" it's not very inconspicuous. Like if your boyfriend is listening, he is GOING to know you talked about him. Even if you didn't say your name, he'd know.
(Even when they don't say their names, their situations are pretty specific where if the other person (friend, significant other, etc) was listening, I'm SURE they'd know it's them. One thing's for sure, I'd never air ANY dirty laundry on the radio!)
Dear (Certain) (Blog) Giveaway Hosts,
It annoys me TO NO END when you announce a winner ONLY on your blog and expect the winner to email YOU. While I TOTALLY appreciate the generosity of the giveaway, we all have to enter our email to enter the giveaway so I know you have it. You can't just email us?
Dear Starbucks/caffeine,
I think I might be allergic to you. And it PAINS me to say that because I not only love you, Starbucks, but I just love the way coffee tastes in general. I hope, hope, hope I'm wrong, but I feel so much better when I don't drink you. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Dear Mother Nature,
According to the calendar, Fall supposedly arrived late last month. Can you please cool down? Even just a little? Pretty please? While I am enjoying being able to wear a sweater in the mornings when I walk to drop Mason off at school, the fact that I don't need it a mere 30 minutes later is not cool (no pun intended) and the fact that it is scheduled to be almost 90 again this weekend is not ok. Where is my boots, scarves, and sweaters weather?
Dear Costco Gas,
You spoil me. Even though I have to wait sometimes up to 20 minutes to get to a pump, the fact that you have organized lines and we all filter in facing the same way is amazing. I went to a regular gas station the other day and almost forgot how to find a pump I could use all the while trying to dodge the people who were driving at me.
Dear Upstairs Neighbor,
I appreciate your love for your plants, really I do. But is it really necessary to water your plants SO MUCH that it literally rains on to my balcony? Like isn't that a taaaaaad bit too much water for said plants?
Dear Holiday Oreos,
Why are you so good? I'm convinced you taste better than regular Oreos and I'm not quite sure why. Either way, I love and hate you for how good you are and how many packages I buy during the holiday months.
Dear October 13th,
In my mind I know you are just another date on the calendar. And even though I don't consider myself an overly superstitious person, I don't love you. And especially during the month of October? You're just asking for all sorts of scary movies to come out on this day and I don't like that.

Little Letters || July.
Monday, July 17, 2017
I'm excited to link up again this month with Kristin from Taz and Belly for her Little Letters series and bring you a few little letters...
Dear apartment,
You are finally starting to feel more like home. I'm finally starting to feel like I live here and am not just visiting.
Speaking of that...
Dear neighbors,
I'm not sure which one of you I hate (the people above, the people to one side, or the people below - so many options!), but I hate you. I hope you don't read my blog, so you don't know I hate you (or maybe I do in a passive aggressive way?), but the fact that you blast your music and/or tv and/or play video games with the sound turned WAY up from 8:30pm-10:30pm EVERY night is getting a bit old. Day 1 and Day 2, I was annoyed. Now, I hate you. I would call the "anonymous Courtesy Patrol", but really how anonymous is it? You KNOW the neighbors would know who called. I'm too chicken to knock on the door and ask you to turn down whatever the heck you're doing in there (plus I don't even know whose door to knock on), but I'm also too chicken to call the Courtesy Patrol. So I live in annoyance from 8:30pm-10:30pm everyday.
Also, I'd like to add, how do NONE of your other neighbors hear anything or complain?
Dear couch,
YOU FINALLY SHOWED UP!!! I ordered you on May 29th. I was under the impression from that salesman that it would be 2-3 weeks until you were delivered. Apppppppparently what he meant to say was it would be 2-3 weeks until my order was delivered to the manufacturer and you were even started to be made and it would be more like SIX weeks until you were delivered to me. My bad. Clearly I misunderstood him saying "delivered to your house in 2-3 weeks".
I would have canceled my order, but apparently you can only do that by 8pm on the same day you ordered it. (What?!) I would "return" the couch that I don't even have yet, but I reaaaaaaally do not want to pay a 25% restocking fee to return something that I haven't even gotten yet (and possibly hasn't even been made yet?).
Dear Living Spaces (where said couch was ordered),
How nice of you to send me a survey to review my purchase with you. YES, I'll happily tell you how I feel about your customer service.
I also plan to leave a review on Yelp of you one of these days. It will be my very first one, unless I've done one that I can't think of now. I hate being rude, but people have to know. I am never, ever shopping with you again.
Dear Book of Mormon,
WOW. You are so politically incorrect, so full of bad words and shock value, and so, so insulting to so many, but I loved you. I feel like that makes me a bad person maybe, but I could. not. stop. laughing. So glad we went to see you!
Dear pictures,
Why do you take so long to edit? If only you could be perfect the first time (ha!), I wouldn't be so terrible at blogging. Writing the post isn't hard... editing the photos is the time consuming part!
Dear (Anaheim) Ducks (hockey) fans,
Where are you during the regular season and the off season? Only when the Ducks went in to the play offs did I know you existed. I'd never seen so many Ducks flags in my life. And then? They lose and don't make the Stanley Cup and where are you again? Clearly we have a lot of bandwagon fans here in Southern California. At least Angels fans are fans all year and fans whether they win or lose.
Dear Costco,
Why do you tease me with your samples? I had a sample of these amazing chocolate glazed old fashioned donuts a couple months ago. We didn't need donuts then, but now I want them for Mason's birthday, and now? They're gone! Whyyyyyyy? Why do you always discontinue everything I love? This happens all the time with your apple sauce pouches and pretzel thins. All. The. Time.
Dear Mason,
Tomorrow you turn five. Somebody hold me! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

I'm excited to link up again this month with Kristin from Taz and Belly for her Little Letters series and bring you a few little letters...
Dear blog,
Hi. Hello. I didn't forget about you. I promise. Well not fully at least. I promise to be better. I promise not to neglect you as much.
Dear life,
When did you get so busy? I swear I used to have some down time. Where did it go? Lately it seems like Mason goes to bed at 8pm and I can't seem to keep my eyes open past 8:01pm. Please slow down!
Dear fashion bloggers,
How are you always promoting different clothing items? Do you buy things, take pictures, and then return them all? Are you getting them for free? Do you only ever wear each piece of clothing once and then it just sits in your closet? I'm so intrigued.
Dear car that has a "my child was inmate of the month at the county jail" sticker on your bumper,
What???
Dear truck with a "caution: 150 foot snake inside" sign,
What???
Dear (what appears to be a) seven year old with an Apple watch,
I'm seriously jealous of you. Can your mom buy me one too?
Dear gel manicure,
I love you. I am so glad someone invented you. I can't tell you how much I LOVE getting a manicure and knowing my nails are dry the second I leave the nail salon. I hated having to be so careful not to touch anything for what seemed like forever afterwards. As much as you cost, I think I'm addicted.

Little Letters || May.
Friday, May 12, 2017
I'm excited to link up again this month with Kristin from Taz and Belly for her Little Letters series and bring you a few little letters...
Dear coffee,
I didn't realize I was so addicted to you. I only really have one cup/one drink a day, so I didn't really think I was that addicted, but one day I didn't have my morning cup and holy cow... come 10am I had a MAJOR headache. I didn't realize it was from not having any caffeine at first, but when Advil didn't work after an hour, I knew I needed a "fix".
Dear lady on the radio who wanted to give her daughter _____ a shout out at ______ Elementary School,
Probably not a good idea. Now everyone who listens to the radio (including any creeps) know your daughter's name AND where she goes to school. I'd never advertise where my kid goes to school in a public forum like that.
Dear LuLaRoe consultant that I wanted to buy from,
Why are you a part of one of those "mega groups" if you don't really care about selling your items? I commented on the item with a question. I waited overnight and then I TAGGED you on the item. And THEN I clicked on your link to mega roe and commented on the item and still... NO RESPONSE from you. Seriously TERRIBLE customer service.
Dear lady who walked right in front of an oncoming truck in the parking lot,
Holy cr*p you scared me!!!! Thankfully the truck was going slow enough and the driver had good reflexes, because WOW. You. Did. Not. Look. Before. You. Crossed!
Dear person who didn't stop at the freeway meter light when it was red,
What makes you so special that you don't have to wait your turn like everyone else? Blowing through the red light to go sit in the parking lot (aka freeway) won't get you anywhere any faster than the rest of us. Wait your turn.

Little Letters || April
Friday, April 14, 2017
I'm excited to link up again this month with Kristin from Taz and Belly for her Little Letters series and bring you a few little letters...
Dear random guy at Starbucks,
No, I do not want to "watch your stuff for a couple minutes" so you can "run to Walmart". But how do I say no? You asked if I was going to be around for a little while and I said yes. Though you said 10 minutes and you were gone for more like... I don't even know minutes because you were gone so long that I had to leave to go pick up my kid and abandon your stuff. I felt HORRIBLE (and told the baristas that I was leaving), but your stuff is NOT more important than me picking up my child on time. Next time you want to run to Walmart, pack up your stuff and take it with you.
Dear lady on the radio who said that her happy news was that she was getting Chick-fil-a for breakfast,
I love you. I get you. Let's be friends.
Dear people who follow and unfollow and follow and unfollow on Instagram,
That doesn't make me want to follow you any more.
Speaking of Instagram...
Dear Instagram,
Why do you sometimes say "couldn't post, tap to retry" when I try to comment on someone's picture, but you NEVER work when I tap to retry. Seriously SO FRUSTRATING.
Dear people waiting outside Costco (or any store really), waiting for it to open,
Why? If you're early, wait in your car. There's no need to literally wait outside the front door.
Dear people who park in the "no parking" areas,
What makes you so special? Why can you park wherever you want? The rest of us park in real spots and you can too. (This ESPECIALLY annoys me at the post office in the morning when ALL the spots (except mine obviously lol) are empty!)

Little Letters || March
Friday, March 10, 2017
I'm excited to link up again this month with Kristin from Taz and Belly for her Little Letters series and bring you a few little letters...
First and foremost...
Dear Seth,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Dear Amazon,
Why do you have 675 options for plungers? Are they REALLY all that different? Maybe 20 options would be sufficient?
Dear Dentist,
Thank you for calling me to tell me that there was a cancellation on February 20th and for bumping my appointment up after I had to push it back. I'm very sorry that I came straight from work and didn't have a chance to brush my teeth... and that I ate a bunch of Girl Scout cookies about 10 minutes before you called.
Dear Freeway Sign "Stay alert. Pedestrians don't wear armor",
Random for you to be telling me about pedestrians on the freeway (I sure hope there's none!), but true none the less. Here's hoping that you're a generic sign for always and not a warning for watching for pedestrians walking on the freeway...
Dear Internet,
You are slowly killing me. Waiting for things to load is so 1999. Get with it.
Dear No Reply Commenters,
I'm sorry I'm not responding to your comments! When you don't have your email attached to your profile, your emails come through as "noreply@blogger.com" (or something like that) and I don't know how to comment back. Please make sure your email is linked to your profile! Here's a quick tutorial to fix it or to make sure you're not one of them!
Dear Amazon (again),
When you tell me that something is available for same day delivery and I order on 2/15, I assume it will arrive later that same day... on 2/15... not on 2/16. Additionally when I place an order on 2/15 and you tell me something is available for 2 day delivery, I assume it will be here 2 days later... on 2/17... not on 2/20. Someone needs to get Amazon a calendar!
Dear Disneyland,
See you soon!
If you need me today, you know where I'll be 😉

Little Letters || February
Friday, February 10, 2017
Last month, a few of my friends linked up with Kristin from Taz and Belly for her Little Letters series and I thought it was a kind of fun take on the confessions posts that I love so much, so this month, I thought I'd join in on the fun!
Dear minivan that sped past me on the freeway doing 80+ mph with the "slow down" sticker on your bumper,
Maybe you should take your own advice.
Dear Mason,
That sweet "picture" that you "drew" me on my window is... "lovely". Maybe next time we can use a napkin instead of wiping waffle all over the window of mommy's car?
Dear people in line at the Costco gas station,
There are ten lanes. Use them! Why must you always all line up in the five middle lanes? There are lanes to the right and to the left that work just as well and are in fact... empty!
Dear short line at the Starbucks drive thru after I worked all weekend,
I love you.

... that, speaking of the Starbucks drive thru...
Dear Mr. Police Officer,
I was wondering the other day, can you get a ticket for being on your phone while you're in the drive thru? I mean technically you are driving? but you're also not driving? AND I use the app on my phone to pay, so... Clearly I was waiting in line too long to be pondering this.
Dear parents who drop your kids off at speech class with Mason,
Where do you go for that hour? It's pointless to go home because I'd just have to turn around and come back. Do you live close? The only place I can think to go is Starbucks, so I get myself a little treat every Tuesday and Thursday...
Dear Siri,
Do you EVER give the right directions? I swear I get lost more often when following your "directions" than I do on my own...
Dear freeway sign that just says "405 towards Santa Monica or Long Beach",
Why no "North" or "South" to go along with the city names? Some of us are directionally challenged and don't know which direction Santa Monica or Long Beach are in.
