For this month's $10 at Target, I actually (gasp!) made up my own rules. You see, today is my 32nd birthday! So, for this month's Target haul I gave myself an extra special birthday budget of $32. Now I know this is breaking all the rules and spending like three times as much as I'm supposed to spend but hey, the link up fell on my actual birthday, it's my day, and I do what I want :) Now, let's get to what I bought!
I have been wanting a Swell water bottle for FOREVER. Ever since they put up that gorgeous display in Target months ago. I always thought they were too expensive, which is why I hadn't gotten one yet, but hey, on your birthday $10 at Target trip, you can splurge on something like that. I'd been eyeing one at my local Target but just hadn't bought it yet. It was $24.99. Occasionally they go on sale for $20.99 or something close to that but for the most part, they are about $25. Then one day I needed to run by Target to pick something up and I happened to be by the Target by my work, so I stopped in. I was walking by the Swell display when I noticed that they were significantly cheaper at that Target than at mine! So what did I do? I scooped one up and made it mine. This pink Swell bottle has been so great for me and I'm so glad I bought it. We took it on our San Francisco trip (to be recapped soon!) and it worked so well and kept my water COLD all day.
I also bought these straws to use in my new knock off Yeti from Walmart. I love the bigger, thicker straws and these are slightly pliable so I think they might be able to fit through the lid opening better than the harder ones that I have currently.
And then there was this nail polish. I had been eyeing a new Essie color for a while, but couldn't decide which one I wanted. Then one day Seth and I were at Target and happened to be walking by the back of the aisles where they have the sale items. And lo and behold, I see a bunch of Essie. Essie on sale?!?! That never happens! Most of them were colors that I don't really wear (blues and greens) but then I found this beautiful pink and knew I needed it. It fit my budget perfectly so I made it mine.
I made sure to paint my nails before we shared our posts today so I could show you this gorgeous color! It's called "Vanity Fairest" and it's probably one of my new favorites. I love how light it is but still has that pink tint to it. It's very spring, but I don't mind. I will continue to wear it all the way through the winter and into the spring. I have no clue why it was discounted, hopefully it's not discontinued, because they should definitely keep making it!
PS this was RIGHT after painting my nails. No day 2 clean up going on here. If you remember what my nails normally look like after I paint them (it's not pretty), you know that this is a HUGE improvement! I can't take all the credit, I think this nail polish has special powers or something! LOL. Or maybe you just can't tell as much since it's so light? One or the other!
Since I bought these along with some other items, I don't have a receipt to show, but here's the breakdown.
