[BOY MOMS] Tamara from The Workout Mama

Monday, April 7, 2014

Hi! Thanks to Elizabeth for having me on her blog today! My name is Tamara and you can find me regularly sharing about my workouts, family, and faith at The Workout Mama. I am a boy mom to an almost 2 year old and I am also pregnant with a little girl who is scheduled to make her appearance in late May. I thought it would fun to share my top 10 reasons on why I love being a boy mom with you today.
10 Reasons I Love Being A Boy Mom!
 1) He is my first baby. I always thought it would be so great to have a little boy first. Of course I knew it was a 50/50 spilt that this would happen so I was elated when I found out our baby was a he!

2) I am much more willing to play in the dirt. Don't get me wrong, I love the outdoors but I wasn't going to just sit in the dirt for fun. Now that we have Caden I find that I don't mind sitting in the sand box, in the grass, or even in the dirt to play with him.
 3) Dressing a little man is fun! Little boy clothes are super cute and it is fun dressing him up.
 4) Trains, fire trucks, and cars. My husband, Josh, is a firefighter so you better believe we have several different types of toy fire trucks in our house. We even have 1 police car thanks to Josh's cousin who is a detective.
 5) Balls! I never thought I would enjoy playing with basketballs, footballs, and soccer balls but I totally do now because Caden does.
 6) He is fearless! I love his love for life and his curiosity (even if he scares me sometimes by what he attempts to do).
 7) Everyday is a new adventure. I am sure this is true for all parents, but little boys have a natural sense of adventure which is contagious to be around. Plus it can be quite entertaining.

8) My husband now lives with his best friend. I love watching Josh be a parent and Caden is his best buddy.

9) Boys love their mom! I love when he says mama, gives me hugs and kisses, or just wants to be held. It melts my heart.
 10) I get to help shape him into a man that will be honorable, loving, and respectful. Teaching him and instilling him with these traits and more will be one of the greatest things I will do with my life. Thanks for letting me share with you today! It is so much fun connecting with other boy moms!!!
 xoxo, Tamara
