It's fix reveal day! One of my favorite days! And I'm SUPER excited to reveal this fix to you as it was (spoiler alert!) my VERY first ever 5/5!

Looking back on my previous posts, I see the last fix I blogged was my Fix #9 and this is Fix #12... I'm not really sure where #10 is, but #11 I didn't blog because I really wasn't overly excited about any of it. I kept one pair of pants that I ended up exchanging sizes for, but other than that, it wasn't really worth sharing (sadly). But then there's the mystery Fix #10 that I'm not even sure what I got in it. Hmm. Never the less, let's move in to the best fix yet! I got this fix back in December, hence the photos with the Christmas tree. I usually like to take my pictures outside, since the lighting in my house is terrible, but it rained all weekend, and I had to return my fix so... you gotta do what you gotta do :)

In case you haven't heard of Stitch Fix, it's basically a personal shopping service. You fill out your online profile by answering some questions about likes/dislikes, style, sizing, etc and then can write a note about what you're interested in as well as link a Pinterest style board to help your stylist know what you're looking for and what you're style is. Then your personal stylist gathers some items that she thinks you'd like and sends them to you. You try them on in the comfort of your own home and decide what you do and don't want to keep and then you have three days to send back whatever you don't want. Easy peasy! The styling fee is $20 and if you send back all the items, you lose the $20. If you keep one (or more) items, they deduct the $20 styling fee from your total and you pay the difference. And if you keep all five items, they deduct the $20 from the total and you get a 25% discount on all the items. Pretty great! If you're interested in signing up, if you want to use my referral code then I'll get small credit to my account and will be forever grateful.

For this fix, I had requested a new stylist. While I did like my old stylist, I felt like she was always thisclose to nailing my actual style, but never quite got there. I always liked the things she sent me, but they just weren't quite me. So, I requested Desiree's stylist, Raquel. I always LOVE everything that Desiree gets in her fixes and figured that if we had a similar style, that Raquel would surely hit the nail on the head for me too. And sure enough.... SHE DID!

I love that she actually referenced my Pinterest board AND my blog (and mentioned Mason!) because I feel like she really got to know me and know what kind of things I would like. And sure enough, it worked.

So now... on to my fix!

41Hawthorn | Lizzy Colorblock Striped Sweater
Size : M | $68

This sweater was one that I saw people getting in their fixes forever ago. I saw it on Pinterest and pinned it forever ago also and thought that it was out of season/style and that I'd never get it, but I thought it would give my stylist an idea of the type of style of sweater that I liked, so I left it. I was seriously so surprised to get it in my fix and loved it from the minute I tried it on. I will say... it is SLIGHTLY shorter than my liking, but I added a gray top underneath and it worked well. I love the pop of color in the stripes on the sleeves, the fact that the stripes don't go all the way down the sleeves, and that the stripes on the body of the sweater are a different color. Apparently I just love stripes!

Verdict : Kept!

Papermoon | Belford Raglan Knit Top
Size : M | $48

This shirt is so comfy and I love the "baseball tee" type feel to it. Looking at the picture, I realize that my jeans are too dark for the top (or maybe it's the lighting?), but let me tell you, this shirt is so easy to throw on and go. It's so soft and lightweight. I've been really loving LuLaRoe lately as well and love the baseball tee type Irma's with the one colored body and another colored sleeve, so this was a fun item to see come in my fix! I also love that it's a little shorter in the front and a little longer in the back.

Verdict : Kept!

Market & Spruce | Chaplin Lined Hooded Anorak Jacket
Size : M | $94

I was head over heels with this jacket before I even tried it on! I mean... the army green color... the pop of coral... the striped interior. All the heart eyes!

I often have issues with jackets where they fit in the body and if I don't move my arms, but if I try to move my arms or reach for something, I feel like I'm going to rip the jacket. So I tend to stick to sweatshirts. But sweatshirts are so un-cute. But this jacket... perfection! It is SLIGHTLY tighter than I would prefer, but upon asking Seth and asking some people on the SF Facebook board, I decided that sizing up would make it too big in the body and that if I felt comfortable (which I do), then I should keep this size. So with that, kept!

Verdict : Kept!

Loveappella | Dawnty Pullover Hooded Knit Top
Size : M | $58

This was another item that I had pinned that Raquel was able to find for me. I've mentioned before, but my work is super casual, and I dress super casual in my regular life too. I saw this shirt on Pinterest and thought it looked cozy and comfy (Loveappella is always SO soft!) and thought I'd love to try it. Well, it didn't disappoint! I love the teal detailing and I love how soft it is. It's a 3/4 length sleeve which is perfect for Southern California. Everything about this shirt makes me want to wear it all the time!

Verdict : Kept!

Kut from the Kloth | Dayna Skinny Jean
 Size : 10 | $88

Kut from the Kloth has been my favorite jeans brand ever since I got my most favorite jean shorts EVER back in my 5th fix back in April 2016. In fact, I loved them so much that I went online to try to find them so I could have another pair (Nordstrom (on sale!) for the win!).

The lighting in these pictures is TERRIBLE so it's probably hard to see how amazing these jeans are, but trust me. AMAZING. (See them better here // here). The thing that is so great about Kut from the Kloth is that they have a slight stretch to them, but not enough that they get stretched out over the course of wearing the jeans during the day (or week straight - no judging!) that you wear them. They are skinny and form fitting and FLATTERING and perfect in every way. I don't know where KFTK has been all my life, but I want all the jeans from them. Sadly, I didn't have any luck finding these online to order another one, so Raquel... if you find any, please send them my way!

Verdict : Kept!

So, if you're keeping track (and, uhh, read my title lol!), I ended up keeping... EVERYTHING! My first 5/5! I was seriously so excited that not only was Raquel new to me, but she TOTALLY hit it out of the park. I'm so happy I branched out and took a chance and asked for a new stylist. She totally gets me and I loved every single thing she sent me.

Stay tuned tomorrow for my latest fix and a chance to help me choose what to keep! Normally I schedule my fix, take pictures, choose by myself what I want to keep, and then blog it when I have a chance. And then reading your comments, I totally regret sending something back and wish I would have kept it.

After reading one of my posts a while back, my sister in law, Cindy, suggested that I have people give me feedback and help me choose what to keep. GENIUS! I had wanted to do that for this fix, but I loved everything and didn't need help choosing what to keep, so tomorrow's reveal is finally that day!

So, tell me... do you agree with my choices?

  4. I love everything about this fix... except the price! But that's coming from a SAHM who can wear yoga pants and pajamas all day ;) These would totally be pieces I'd buy if shopping. Finding the perfect pair of jeans is always hard so I'm impressed with SF nails them.

  6. I love all of that too! Great stuff! I was thinking that baseball T reminds me of the LLR Randy, I think that's the one you meant, not the Irma? And is that a Sarah in your last picture? So much great clothes - the jacket is my fave I think!
