Mason was so spoiled and so loved at his birthday party that we may need to buy a new house (or add a wing on to our current place) just for all the presents he got. Holy moly. He got quite a few new things, but I wanted to share some of his favorites in case anyone is in the market for some two year old boy toys.
Books : Mason got quite a few new books and I couldn't be more excited! I've been wanting to grow his library and get more age appropriate books for him for a while now and my friends and family did an amazing job picking out some great ones! One of my friends got two books that she had never heard of before : Hopper and Wilson and King Jack and the Dragon. I'd never heard of them before either, but they look super cute! He also got two Jake and the Neverland Pirate books : one called Jake Saves Bucky (a read-aloud book that comes with a CD) and one that comes with a book and some figurines and Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site. Nanny got him this Go Angels! book and not only was Mason excited, but you better believe Seth was too!
Puzzles : We are loving puzzles these days and Mason was pretty excited when he saw that he got the Melissa and Doug Chunky Construction Puzzle!
Legos : Mason got the most amazing Lego Duplo sets! To be honest, I might have been more excited than he was! He got two Jake sets : Jake's Pirate Ship Bucky and Neverland Hide Out. He also got two Planes sets : Skipper's Flight School and Ripslinger's Air Race. He also got a Lego Duplo Number Train. I quickly opened them all and put them together for him to play with and Mason promptly tore them apart into about 20 million pieces. Toddlers.
Toys : My Dad and step mom got Mason these awesome Melissa and Doug Wooden Magnetic Alphabet Letters. I've been wanting them for him for forever and was really excited to see they got them. As soon as we got them, we added them to our collection of animals on the fridge! One of my friends gave Mason this really awesome take-a-part airplane. It's something I have never seen before! It's an airplane that comes with a power tool that you can take off the wheels with. It comes with nuts and bolts and you can be the mechanic for the plane! He also got this cool LeapFrog Letter Factory : Phonics that helps teach him letters by saying the letters out loud and sounding them out and this Little Tikes T-Ball Set (that Seth was BEYOND excited about!). Mason was beyond spoiled by Nanny who bought him quite a few Green Toys vehicles : ferry boat with mini cars, tractor, seaplane, and recycling truck. His Auntie, Uncle, and cousins Emma and Addison got him the VTech Go Go Smart Wheels Garage and I must admit... I'm pretty excited to set it up with his airplane set!
We've been playing with all of his new toys daily, so I think it's safe to say that he LOVES them all!
P.S. Can you believe my BABY turns TWO tomorrow??!!?? Eeekk!
We have that v-tech alphabet toy! It's great! Callie loves to dump the letters out and put them back in the tub. She's getting better at putting them in the slot to hear the song too :)
ReplyDeleteNoah loves trucks now! I think I'll have to get him that puzzle! My nephew loves that goodnight construction site book! Is it a board book? Cause I'm still scared of Noah ripping pages! Happy Birthday Mason!!!
ReplyDeletethat take apart airplane looks AMAZING!!! i'm seriously ordering it for my twin nephews!!! I'm always looking for new boy toys for them (being a girl mom i get lost in the world of boy!).
ReplyDeleteSo much good stuff! The recycle truck looks like it would fit in nicely around our place. Our resident 2-year old is kind of obsessed with trash/recycle day!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Green Toys! We have the ferry boat and the submarine and they're perfect bath/pool toys. We just started buying Duplos for Reese too, and she has the number train. She says 'chug chug' when we ask her what a train says, and she loves playing with the dog from the set :)
ReplyDeleteFun -what awesome gifts (and great ideas)!! Tyson also got the Jake ship lego set, he (and I) have been having fun with it. It is so fun to watch them play with and be so into NEW toys. Happy Birthday Eve!! :)
ReplyDeleteAhhhh!! A two year old? How is that even possible? And thanks for the fun ideas for gifts.
ReplyDeleteI hope he loves the Green Toys Recycle truck! That's one of Reed's all time favorites. It's so sturdy!
ReplyDeleteYay Duplos! Henry is now into the little Legos and yikes, small pieces! I love those Green Toys! We have the tractor and dump truck as well as a pouring bath boat and submarine!
ReplyDeleteHe raked up! I've been wanting to order my kiddos those alphabet letters forever and haven't done it yet.
ReplyDeleteThat list is so full of boy! Just the list is a lot of toys! I'm assuming you have bunches and bunches more! Aria plays so sparsely with toys. I just want to throw the whole lot away! ish. Keep a few. Most I just step on and annoy me with there existence. I don't know what we will do after Christmas this year, ha. Must donate them all first to make room for more!
ReplyDeleteDang he got some awesome stuff! I love those first sports teams books. Myles has a Packer one! And those green toy trucks are awesome. They seem so durable and such good quality! I was obsessed with legos as a child so I would have too much fun with all his duplo sets! Myles has a t-ball set too and it is so fun teaching him to play! I'm guessing your husband is the huge baseball fan in the family :)
