If Seth were stranded on a deserted island...

...he would definitely survive longer than I would.

Seriously. He would probably last until someone rescued him and I would probably last... until night fall. On day one. Haha. But seriously. I would be terrified of all the bugs and the dark by myself!

Speaking of being stranded on a deserted island though, if that were to happen to me, I would definitely need a survival kit. What would be in my kit? A personal chef, my cell phone, some chocolate, and probably a way off the island (i.e. an airplane... oh and a pilot).

This post might have started off kind of randomly and you might be thinking, where is she going with this? Is she going to pull a "Survivor" and be dropped in the middle of no where or going on vacation "Castaway" style? Umm no.

I was recently contacted by ManCrates and was posed with the question : what would be in your survival kit? And while I definitely know what I would put in mine, I thought it would be fun to focus this post on Seth's survival kit (since ManCrates are geared towards men).

[3] beer
[4] coffee

[1] This outfit. Seth lives in this outfit - plus a hat - usually an Angels hat. If he could wear it to work, he would, but since he can't, every other second of the day, Seth lives in a t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops.
[2] Baseball. When I asked him what his essentials would be, he said the Angels/baseball. Now I don't know how he would be watching these games since he has no TV (maybe his cell phone?) but he said he would DEFINITELY need to have baseball.
[3] Beer. Need I say more?
[4] Coffee. This is mandatory everyday. At least one cup - sometimes more. So of course it would be in his survival kit. He's not picky to only want Starbucks, but it is the most common coffee shop that we go to.
[5] Cell phone. To watch baseball games. To play games. And to go on Facebook and Instagram and find out what the rest of the world is doing while he is stuck on his deserted island.

What exactly are ManCrates you might be wondering? They are wooden boxes stuffed with some of your man's favorite things. Pretty cool gift idea if you ask me! If I were getting one for Seth, I would definitely have a hard time choosing : Legends of Baseball? Or MLB Barware? Or maybe even the the Sriracha crate. If you're in the market for a gift for your man (Christmas is on it's way!), then I definitely suggest checking them out!

  1. Okay, the first thing that popped into my mind while reading this was "Man, Woman, Wild" Do you have Netflix? You and Seth must watch that show together!!

  2. Great list! I like that you said Seth would survive longer than you, haha. The same is true of me and my hubby :) Seems like he has all the bases covered! I'm with you though - a personal chef would be amazing!

  4. OMGosh, seriously! Nate’s all into those shows…. Survivor, Naked & Afraid, doomsday preppers and interested in that new one coming out called Utopia. He always talks about how he thinks he could survive. I know he could. Me on the otherhand, no way. Not without him!

  5. Without a doubt, I would outlast my husband. No question about it.

  6. LOL - this whole post had me laughing. I'm right there with you. I'd never survive if I were stranded. I mean, let's be real. My idea of "camping" is a Holiday Inn. #truth
However, I *just* used Man Crates to order Scott's birthday gift…. His birthday is tomorrow. #whoops #wifefail
