This is my first time doing one of these types of posts, but I kind of love the idea. So here goes :)
Dreaming about // Hawaii! Ever since I posted about my favorite vacation the other day, I am DYING to go back to Hawaii and I can't stop thinking about it!
Drinking // PGTL. And for you non Starbucks-aholics like me. Peach Green Tea Lemonade. My favorite!
Eating // ALL. THE. EASTER. CANDY. Easter candy is my love language. I think Easter is the worst holiday for me because they have SO much good Easter candy! See's candy is my weakness and so many kind, thoughtful, amazing people gave us so much See's candy in the past week!
Hating // Printer ink. Seriously. Why does it ALWAYS run out at the most inopportune times? We applied for a passport for Mason on Saturday and I needed to photocopy Seth and my ID's and the printer ran out of yellow ink RIGHT THEN. I did't even need to copy anything in color and the printer wouldn't even let me copy in black and white. What gives?
Making // Lists on my phone. My 'notes' app is my new best friend. Seriously I think of the most random things at the most random times and jot down notes there. Blog post ideas while I'm driving to work {please note, I try realllllllly hard to remember the thoughts and then jot them down when I get to work, not as I'm driving to work}. What I need to buy at Target or Costco or the grocery store. To do lists. Thoughts on a certain topic. Bucket list items. Christmas/Birthday ideas for me/Seth/Mason. You name it. I probably have it.
Needing // A car wash. BAD. I kind of HATE paying money to wash my car but we don't really have a lot of other options here. I've never seen anyone wash their car in our complex so I'm not even sure if it is allowed. Plus, a professional does a WAY better job than me. And can actually reach the top. I'm starting to not be able to see out my windows because of the dirt and it's starting to be a problem...
Planning // A little home remodel. Now don't get excited, but I have some ideas in my head of how to decorate our living room/family room/playroom and adding a little something to Mason's room. We've lived here for almost two years and I STILL haven't fully unpacked {we have one box left lol} or fully made this place home by decorating. I'm determined to fix that.
Reading // Blogs. Seriously it is embarrassing to admit the last time I read an actual book. I'm not even sure I know, but if I had to guess... before Mason was born.
Thankful for // My health. SO many people have been posting about being sick recently and thankfully, we haven't gotten it {knock on major wood!}. Thankful for being healthy!!
Wanting // Tulips. I've seen SO many people post pictures of tulips recently and it's giving me serious spring fever and wanting some gorgeous tulips for my house.
Watching // Baseball. Baseball. And more baseball. Specifically Angels baseball. On TV for now. And in person on Saturday!
Wishing for // More hours in the day. I swear I never have enough hours in the day to do what I want to do! Add it to the 'to do' list... Oh, and a little extra 'fun money'. See 'planning'. There's so much I would love to do but we just don't have the extra cash to do so right now. So I scale it down and do what I can.
Wondering about // Vitamins for me and Mason. I've taken vitamins before, but then I slack and forget. I've been wanting to get some sort of vitamins for Mason, but don't know what brand or kind is best. {Suggestions???} Also, vitamins haven't been recommended by Mason's pediatrician {they haven't been not recommended, I just haven't asked}, so should I really be giving him any without her telling me so? Can a multi vitamin hurt? I'm sure he doesn't eat a balanced enough diet of foods to be able to get everything he needs. I mean, unless goldfish are all of a sudden vitamin filled. I heard Costco has the gummy kinds for kids like they do adults and am thinking of trying those.
all the candy. Easter really is the worst.
ReplyDeleteprinters are stupid about their ink. no blue, can't print in black sorry. well ok then.
tulips are everywhere right now!
I've vaguely wondering about vitamins for Aria too but never ask the ped. shrug!
Oh my gosh I make so many lists on my phone too! It's crazy how many I have! We got some gummy vitamins for noah and we were doing well but I feel like I keep forgetting recently!
ReplyDeleteThis was cute! Vitamins...my comment on this subject- they don't hurt unless your overdoing it. Kids are picky eaters and as long as they are eating a variety of foods (fruits & veggies included) they probably are good. But, if not, especially during the winter months, vitamins can't hurt. Always ask the doc though, but warning, if they will have different opinions on the matter. And if you do, READ the labels to be sure there are not alot of fillers in them.
ReplyDeleteI love these posts! And YES to Hawaii! Since you posted about it, I've been thinking about it too! Even have been watching a few webcams on Maui and Kauai :) I make notes on my phone all. the. time. I'm a big fan of Evernote- took me a while to get used to it, but now I love it! And tulips- love them. Those and daffodils always make me happy and put me in a spring mood.
ReplyDeleteThe notes app is my lifesaver!! It's my best friend for sure. And wanna come re-do our living room too? I suck and have zero clue how to arrange it. Don't even get me started on candy. OH THE CANDY!
ReplyDeleteI love the notes app too! Use it all the time! that and my to do list app... I love lists and checking stuff off! Vitamins - we do a gummy multi for callie. she was on an iron one as a baby and when she got older we just changed and didn't really ask. I am looking for a better vitamin for me but I haven't gotten very far as it's super overwhelming and I haven't found the time. Ps love these posts I might need to do one again soon!
ReplyDeleteGive me allll the candy! My notes app is my BFF, too. So many things to remember these days! Loved reading what's up with you!
ReplyDeleteI'm a notorious note taker, list maker and planner so that app is my FAV. and multi's for kids.. I did some research into it a while back bc I was curious with Rae also. I ultimately decided that since she (and adults) don't absorb the whole MV, usually just 50% of it, it was best to for go it because it can be overdone in such tiny bodies. Rae doesn't eat veggies so it bothered me, so I went with the amazing grass supplement. It's powder and we add it to her milk every other night. She loves it!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to try the PGTL! My current fave as far as cold Strabucks drinks go is the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher. Mmmmmmm!
ReplyDeleteLove this!! Oh man, we are so on the same page with so many of these, right down to my endless lists in notes (YUP - Target, Costco, even a bucket list too!! HA!!) :) I'm a huge vitamin gal - I swear by Nutrilite vitamins (via Amway) and we give Tys their 'Brainiums' kids chewy DHA/omega-3 vitamins. Our doc never recommended either (that I can remember), I just asked if these were ok. We give half 'serving' (as they are for 4yr+). If you want more info on those let me know. They're expensive, but I believe they are top notch. And don't get me started on Easter candy.. My MIL put a See's egg in my basket and I thought 'I have to tell Elizabeth I got one..!!' ;)
ReplyDeleteI just started Wyatt on the Flintstone gummy vitamins. It says they're made for toddlers and I really don't think it could hurt. Tulips are my absolute favorite flowers, they're so pretty and delicate.
ReplyDeleteI have avoided purchasing or bringing any reeses eggs into this house because if i did, those bad boys would be GONE so fast. Oh man.
ReplyDeleteI've been using my notes more too and it's hilarious the stuff that ends up in there!
I love you. You know this. But baseball? I can't. I only like it because the food at the ball fields is usually top notch. Nachos and hot dogs... GET IN MY {expanding} BELLY!
ReplyDeleteOur doc told us to get the chewable flinstones for Ellie.
ReplyDeleteI love these kinds of posts, they're my favorite to read and write! I'm trying that drink at Starbucks next time! Wunderlist is my all time favorite app on my phone for list making. I might be a compulsive list maker actually, it's like a disease! I really need to read a book, I just bought Sparkly Green Earrings and can't wait to start it! And we were just at the pediatrician and I completely forgot to ask about vitamins for Jude! Probably because I didn't write it on my list ;) And I'm super excited baseball is back too!
ReplyDeleteCurrently posts are some of my favorites. Maybe I am just nosey! Haha. Confession: I’ve never had green tea! I think the name turns me off. Everyone talks about how amazing it is, though so I guess I need to give it a try. And Easter candy will be the death of me. Okay, maybe not…but it sure is to blame for the 1-2 pounds I’ve gained lately! Ugh!! I need a car wash, too. It’s been months since my car has had a bath! It’s just something I never think about when I’m driving. Then I get home, see my car and think “why in the world didn’t I run through the carwash??” SO glad it’s baseball season! I hate off-season!! Seriously!!! Can’t wait to see pictures from the game when y’all go. It will be so much fun. Nate and Mason are going with his Pre-K this Wednesday and it’s Rangers vs Angels!! I just started giving Mason the gummy Flintstones. He loves them, but hates that he can only have 2 in one day! Ha.

ReplyDeleteOur doctor said if I was really worried about the whole vitamin thing to get the chewy kind (like Flintstones). Then our dentist turned around and told us any gummy stuff is really bad for kids teeth. Sooooo, we haven't done the whole vitamin thing yet. I do make a smoothie each morning that is LOADED with all sorts of good stuff, and M likes to help me finish that. So, I figure he's all good for now.
