Happy Wednesday!
Some big news here today... I'm starting a series for Boy Moms! Starting this coming Monday, January 13th, I will be starting my Boy Mom series on Mommy Monday.
How did I come up with idea, you might be wondering? Well let me tell you!
A couple weeks ago I contacted Erinn of Strawberry Swing and Other Things about her Girl Mom series. Oddly enough, I was having the opposite problem that she was having in her original Girl Mom series post where I had been seeing tons of girl mom stuff and no boy mom stuff. I asked her if she knew any boy mom's that had a boy mom series that I could participate in. She said she didn't but that I should create one. She was generous enough to let me spin off of her Girl Mom series into my own Boy Mom series.
I'm guest posting over on her blog today to tell you why I love being a #boymom.
...I still remember it like it was yesterday. My husband and I went to the OB for my 12 week ultrasound when the ultrasound tech said "do you guys want to know what you're having?"

I'm sorry, what??
I thought we couldn't find out until the 16 week appointment so I was beyond excited to know. I looked at my husband and before I think he even knew what was going on, I said "YES!" And she said...
"You're having a BOY! Congratulations!"
And BOOM! Just like that, I found out that I was going to be a BOY MOM!
I love every minute as a boy mom and couldn't imagine my life any other way!

DeleteYay, a boy mom series! I just read your guest post and your son and I share the same bday :) He's almost a year older than my son, but it looks like they've shared a few firsts: first Angels game and first Disneyland trip. Since my son is only 8 months, I'm not sure he exhibits many "boy" traits yet, but I'm excited toread what all the other boy moms have to say so I can get an idea what's in store for me.
