I'm excited to be back again today co-hosting this link up with Becky and some other fabulous ladies! If you posted today as well, don't forget to link up with us below so we can see your awesome $10 hauls!
I have a couple confessions to make for this month. (1) I'm early to post this month because tomorrow is actually Mason's birthday! FOUR. I seriously can't believe it. Check back tomorrow for a special post dedicated to the birthday boy! And (2) I actually did the shopping for this month only ONE DAY after last month's $10 at Target went live. A little early much? But hey, you can never be too prepared, right? Right.
So anyway, I went to Target one afternoon, alone (!!!) and literally walked around the store aimlessly. It was heaven. I had gotten off work early and didn't have anywhere to be or anything specific to do, so I just walked around checking things out. I came across a few things that I thought I might like (and one that I was planning to be a part of my purchase but then I was convinced that I "needed" it and so it was a "necessity") and ultimately settled on these things.
I had heard about these S'mores Drumsticks from someone else and let me tell you, they live up to all the hype. They are DELICIOUS. If you see them at your grocery store or Target, I highly recommend picking them up! I'm pretty sure I miiiiiiight have only shared 1 out of the 4 in the box with Seth and ate the other 3 myself.
And the drink? I'd never heard of it before but it looked and sounded good. It's non-alcoholic, even though the name kind of makes it sound like it would be, and it's just a nice, light, refreshing sparkling juice drink. I definitely recommend it too!
So, how'd I do on my budget?

So, how'd I do on my budget?
I bought these along with some other real, actual necessities so I don't have a receipt to show, but here's the breakdown.
S'mores Drumsticks - $3.00 (on sale from $3.62)
Sipp Drink - $6.99
CRV (CA Redemption Value) - $.20 ($.05 each x 4 bottles)
No tax (I guess because they're food items?)
Minus RED Card discount : ($0.51)
Total : $9.68
I think this is the closest I've ever come to $10 without going over! Guess I need to stick to food items since the price is easier to calculate and there's no tax!

ReplyDeleteLet's talk about the S'MORES DRUMSTICKS. WHAT?! Where have I been? Those look and sound freaking delicious!
Yeah stick to food =) Those drinks look good. Our fun foody Target is the one with extra sales tax so we haven't gone back. Butttt I think I need to next time, omg or when the holiday things hit. I can't wait =) You know they are so early with every damn holiday but I feel like they could put some things out for fall and Halloween a bit earlier. That might just be my impatience though ha.
ReplyDeleteThose drumsticks-I can't buy enough of them. SO DELICIOUS.

ReplyDeleteI am going to look for that drink the next time I go. I love finding new things to sip on since I drink a ton of water.
ReplyDeleteS'mores drumsticks? Get out! Those sound amazing. I am going to have to find those.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that your purchase was "fun" food related! Those drumsticks look wonderful, and I'm going to have to try that soda! I'm pregnant and get tired of drinking water all the time, so I'm always looking for fun sodas and sparkling waters to try!
